Winsock [4] manages the input and output requests of Internet applications on Windows. So resetting it might help get rid of the DNS problem on Chrome:
Open the Windows Search Box and type CMD.
Right click on the Command Prompt in the results and select run as administrator.
Enter the following command in the Command Prompt and click Enter: Netsh Winsock Reset
Wait until Windows completes this command and restarts the computer.
