Is tuberculosis contagious

TOP 0

Tuberculosis is very contagious, especially active sputum and yang patients are the most contagious. There are three most common transmission routes of tuberculosis: 1. Air-respiratory transmission: This is the most important mode of transmission of tuberculosis. 2. Food transmission: tuberculosis bacilli may be stained with tuberculosis bacteria on the tableware and leftover food, such as sharing tableware with tuberculosis patients, eating the patient's leftover food, or eating vegetables and drinking soup in a bowl. 3. Vertical transmission: During pregnancy, the tuberculosis bacillus in the mother with tuberculosis can enter the fetus through the umbilical cord blood, and the fetus can also be infected by swallowing or inhaling amniotic fluid containing tuberculosis, causing the fetus to suffer from congenital tuberculosis. So TB bacilli are not transmitted through bodily fluids, but they are transmitted to your sexual partners through these routes
