TOP 0

There are actually many different classifications of gastritis. Generally, superficial gastritis and erosive gastritis will not become gastric cancer. But what needs to be vigilant is a disease called chronic atrophic gastritis, which is a risk factor for gastric cancer, which can easily become cancerous and progress to gastric cancer.

In daily life, many people do not pay attention to their diet and living habits, which may lead to gastritis in the stomach. Gastritis can appear superficial gastritis and erosive gastritis according to the depth and severity of the lesions. These gastritis are completely curable by adjusting diet, lifestyle and necessary drug treatment, and generally do not turn into gastric cancer.

However, atrophic gastritis is a specific form of gastritis that carries the risk of developing stomach cancer. The tissue change form of this gastritis is due to atrophic changes in gastric mucosal tissue, which can easily lead to the mutation of gastric mucosal cells to evolve into gastric cancer. The higher the degree and duration of atrophy, the higher the chance of developing a tumor. Atrophic gastritis is sometimes accompanied by intestinal metaplasia of the gastric mucosa, which increases the risk of gastric cancer. Atrophic gastritis, in many cases, does not have special symptoms, and the symptoms are very insidious, which also makes diagnosis difficult, resulting in changes in the disease unknowingly.

Most types of gastritis do not turn into cancer, but be sure to check to detect atrophic gastritis and give effective treatment to prevent the further evolution of the disease.
